• Poling since February 2012
  • Teaching since September 2012
  • I have dabbled in Sling, Aerial Yoga, Lyra, and Silks and Parkour along the way.
  • I have taken more workshops from Pros than I can even count.

I was inspired to start pole on an impulse, I needed something new to do with my free time and it looked pretty bad ass. Turns out I was right!

I hope all my VF Students know how much I appreciate them for pushing me to be the best instructor/pole dancer I can be. Without them, I wouldn't be challenged to learn new tricks and combos on a whim. Thank you! I want you all to remember that the Master has failed more times than the Beginner has even tried; Don't undermine your experience and compare yourself to others. You are on your own path and will succeed only if you honor yourself and commit!

I have too many good memories from pole to even pick out one favorite (students inverting for the first time, or graduating a particularly hard level, my mom attending her first class, etc), but I have to say that the one memory that comes pretty close was the day that Mel asked me to be an instructor for the Fort Collins studio when she decided to open one up here. I have never felt more honored!

Something hard to believe I am deathly afraid of public speaking, I get butterflies and become extremely nervous when I am in a setting where there might be a chance that I have to speak in front of other people, even if it is as simple as giving a one-word answer. HOWEVER, I have never felt this way during pole, whether I am in front of a packed class teaching, or performing, pole is my passion and the community is so loving and accepting that I never get nervous! I am so relaxed that I usually forget my routine every time I get on stage and just let muscle memory take over.....
