Thank you for inquiring about Vertical Fusion. We offer pole and aerial dance classes for all levels; beginner to advanced/competitive. We also offer fitness and movement classes that are not aerial. If you're brand new to pole or aerial dancing, you will need to take the respective intro classes first. Vertical Fusion has a specific curriculum that each instructor is required to follow to ensure your training is thorough, safe, and has properly prepared you for the next level. Our students are required to test-out of each level before moving on to the next.
If you have previous experience in pole or aerial dance, please call us for class/level assessment and recommendations:
Fort Collins (970) 377-9945
We will be happy to discuss which class will be best suited for your level. Vertical Fusion does not require individuals with previous experience to take lower level classes unless we feel it is the best starting place for you. You can find an overview of our curriculum and levels by apparatus here:
Pole Levels
Aerial Hoop (Lyra) Levels
Aerial Hammock (Sling) Levels

A: Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out our waiver
A: Pole Attire: You may choose to wear comfortable workout attire or similar; shorts are best but yoga pants or something similar will be totally fine for your first class; Shoes: You can dance barefoot or you can bring heels. If you're not sure which you want, bring shoes-you're welcome to take them on and off as you please; Skin: Please do not wear jewelry on hands/wrists. Please refrain from any lotions on your hands and body to avoid slipping on the pole.
Aerial Hoop (Lyra) Attire: Leggings or other similar fitted pants/capris, comfortable top suitable for working out, socks or bare feet. We recommend leg warmers or knee pads that can be worm backwards to cushion the back of the knees if you find that you are experiencing discomfort during your training. We also recommend gloves if your hands are uncomfortable during training.
Hammock (Sling) Attire: Leggings or other similar fitted pants/capris, comfortable top that covers your armpits and is suitable for working out, socks or bare feet. Please do not wear jewelry, zippers, or any other adornments that can snag the silks.
A: Water bottle, yoga mat if you have one. If you are under 30 years of age, we will ask to see a government issued ID to verify you are at least 18 years old.
A: We highly recommend registering in advance either online or by phone (call or text call 970.377.9945 for Fort Collins). Our instructors report to the studio only if they have people signed up for their class, so preregistering ensures you are not inconvenienced by showing up to a closed studio. Registration closes one hour before the class start time, however, late registrations are usually allowed if you phone or text us.
A. Our cancellation policy is 6 hours or more before the start of the class to avoid forfeiting your payment. We understand that sometimes there are extenuating circumstances, in which case we try to be flexible. However, we do need to enforce this policy and we do charge late fees if you late cancel or no-show unless we are given enough notice to fill your spot. You can view our entire cancellation policy here.
A: Participants must be at least 18 years of age. If you are under 30 years of age, we will ask to see a government issued ID to verify you are of age. Minors (16 years and older) are allowed ONLY after the studio owner has had an in-person consultation with the parent/guardian. No exceptions! The consultation must be scheduled well in advance of the class which you would like to attend.
A: For your safety, you may not participate if pregnant
A. Our programs are accessible to all ages and abilities. We understand that pole and aerial dance can be intimidating so we are committed to helping you feel accomplished and appropriately challenged. We love the creative movement side of pole and aerial so you'll find that our program is well balanced between learning technical skills, practicing choreography, and exploring your own movement. No previous experience is necessary and you do not need upper body or any other type or level of strength to get started.
A: We use spotting techniques and gymnastics mats to ensure you are as protected as possible while practicing your pole and aerial skills.
A: Lastly, allow yourself to let your hair down, forget about the daily grind and HAVE SOME FUN! Be prepared to become addicted to one of the most enjoyable and effective ways to be fit and express yourself!
